FOAL CAM
Well,  what's up horsey-wise around Whispering Hill?
What fun.......It's summer!!
  • Dallas is heading back down to the kids on May 15...............I have to find time to give him a clean up before he leaves. He is a MESS!!!
  • Romeo is over at Sammy's to be started under saddle. He is "ALL BOY" this year. I hate 3 year old stallions.
  • That leaves us with the opportunity to show Pocahontas in halter this year..........and she is looking beautiful. Hopefully, I'll get some good pictures soon. Check out some new photos below.
  • Soleil is home and is broke to saddle. She looks really cute with Sammy riding her.
  • Well, it really must be spring because every mare in the barn is in heat and we started our breeding season with Carol Weaver's pretty pinto mare, Sara. She is sure hoping for a pinto girl baby. I'm whispering in Sara's ear:  "Spots!  Filly!!" So, we'll see if that works.
  • Blondie is the only mare we have bred for this year...........believe it or not, Sassy slipped hers sometime.  Blondie is due in June. We'll get the camera up when the time gets closer.
  • I can't figure out who to breed for next year sooooooooooo  I kind of thought of this idea........I'll breed every mare just one cycle and whoever takes.........will take. Donald didn't like that idea. He's afraid all 8 would take and that would be something else for us.
  • Bucky is down at Sandy's and we are going for our "+" after his name. We're getting close so let's hope...........Western mostly with some dressage thrown in.
  • Well, that's about all for right now. It's too beautiful outside for me to spend the day inside..........so, I'll add more later.

And  the best news yet........SHOW SEASON has started. We took Pocahontas to her first show last Sunday. Oh, were we ever pleased with 3 blue ribbons including a win in Open Halter with 7 entries of all different breeds. She was awesome!!!!  Thanks, Sammy!!!

Pocahontas is having an awesome year in the show ring........just doing so well. We are having a ball showing her this year.  Nine blues
and 5 reds
Alybi has visited with 3 lovely mares so far this year........The two bays are owned by Sandy Young. Andi which is a repeat breeding that brought us Drake and Rosie.  New this year is Charm, a gorgeous half Arab.
And, a big congratulations to Carol Weaver on this wonderful surprise that she got when the vet visited Sara today!!!!!

SHOWING?????

  YOU BET!!!

Any new Alybi babies born this year???????

You Bet!!!!!!!!!!
This is a beautiful Half-Arab colt sired by My Alybi. He is out of a pretty Haflinger mare. He belongs to Mrs. Bev Hawk who lives here in Venus. He is really a cutie!
And, on June 25, 2014, I had one of my long time dreams full-filled when Blondie foaled a gorgeous Palomino, Pinto Filly!!!! She is so beautiful that I can't even believe it...........meet Juliette!!!!!
Dallas made it back down to the kids and he looks 100% better. I think or hope that they are having fun with him this summer.
Sammy is on Romeo. It is so strange to think that he is old enough to be ridden. He sure looks beautiful this year.
Wish I could show you a new picture of Bucky, but I don't have one yet this year. He is at his first show this weekend and so far has a blue and a red ribbon.  How special.
Soleil is a real joy to own. She is such a sweetheart. We have her bred to My Alybi for 2015. Do you really think that we could possibly get another palomino, pinto filly???????
Can't forget to share our other good news that we just got. Thanks for the photo, Dr. Burks. This is Seranade's 2015 baby by JMF Khnight Magic.
Breeding some mares???????

You Bet!!
Trying Something new and a bit different!!!!!!!!

Wrapping up another wonderful summer!!!!!
Blondie's baby is staying here...........and growing up so fast that I can't believe it. She is just beautiful and so much fun, too!!!!!  Haven't decided on a registered name yet..........but we call her Juliette (to match with Romeo from 2011).
Congratulations to Dennis and Carol Weaver on the purchase of Blondie. She is really a very special mare and now she has a very special home. Blondie had 4 foals for us: Romeo, Jasmine, Geno, and Juliette..........4 pintos and 3 palominos. Hoping that she gives Carol and Dennis their "spots of gold", too.
And to make it a very, very special summer........

Look what Sandy Young and Bucky earned!!!!!!!!
